Packaging Ideas

I have considered packaging for the prototype that will advertise the company it is promoting. I have took in to consideration that it is a free-be and realistically packaging would be kept to a minimum to reduce production costs.

Initial Ideas:

The ideas above clearly show a link to Apple and iTunes. The bottom design, where the USB is simply attached to a piece of card, is a very likely design for packaging for a free product. For my project though i want to produce something that is going to provide more protection for the USB.

Development:

This design is interesting as it would allow you to see the whole of the product, whilst keeping it safe. Acetate would be a good choice of material.

This simple box would allow the brand to be promoted heavily. The idea would be simple to produce from card and would serve its purpose well.

This design replicates an iPhone or iPod box. This would be an interesting idea as it would make the product seem like a real, scaled down version. It would also be suitable because production out of card would be cost effective and fairly simple. It also allows the company to be promoted clearly.
