After deciding on the music context I have moved on to do some research specifically on music, as well as looking at existing products currently on the market.
These images are unrelated to my topic but show the range of USB's available. Some of the USB's have interesting mechanisms for closing, for example the cherry USB. Also this mood board shows the different range of materials that can be used to create interesting products, both aesthetically and texturally.
I have collated images I associate with music and listening to music. I found the shape of headphones interesting and gathered a few different types. I also looked into companies such as Apple, which are largely associated with music.
After looking at certain websites I have decided to base my product on Apple iTunes. As this is currently a method of buying and downloading music, the USB will be to promote the launch of iTunes music streaming, therefore my initial designs should relate to music and Apple in some way.
